Why? This is the most user-friendly and the best platform available based on our opinion.

And Shopify is proudly Canadian!

Every client’s requirements are unique. Therefore, we will first have a discussion and asses your requirements and will offer a customized plan for our services. 

Domain cost:

If you do not have a domain, Shopify domains are $14 to $18 for 1 year.

If you already have a domain, we can transfer the domain to Shopify.  

Shopify fees:

After launching, you will have to pay Shopify fees for hosting your online store and App fees. 

These are not charged by us. Shopify will directly bill your credit card.

We suggest starting with the Shopify Basic plan unless you are okay with starting with higher plans.

Shopify Basic plan, your start-up cost will be USD 29 + App fees App fees varies on your store needs.

2. Annual cost of domain registration: approximately CDN $ 15 per year.
3. Newsletter software cost: US $9.99 per month.
4. Depending on the needs of your e-Commerce store, we may have to add more paid plugins upon your approval.
5. Depending on your requirements, we will offer a monthly management plan for your store.

This again depends on your requirements. If it is a simple online store with less than 25 products, we can target to launch within 3 weeks.

However, this will depend on the size of the e-Commerce store and you as well.

We need you to provide the information to us promptly.

We can not begin the process of adding products to your site until you provide us complete product information.

If you do not have product images, we can offer product photography services. Photographing and editing images and video will add to the length of the project.

After we launch your online store, you will have two options to manage it:

OPTION 1: You or someone within your company can manage the online store.

OPTION 2: We can manage your online store for a fee of CDN $ 300 per month + taxes plus the cost of hosting your account and the software fee.

  • We can manage your online inventory, add or delete products.
  • Run and manage sales.
  • Add up to 5 products per month
  • Total of 1 hour of edits per month.
  • Additional edits are charged at $100 per hour. We will always quote before implementing.

Hosting fees with Shopify: starting at US$ 29 per month. (Overtime, depending on your sales growth, we can upgrade if you want to.)

Management fees: CDN $300 per month, if we manage. You can manage your store yourself as well.

Total cost per month: CDN $300 + US $29 = $329

Please Note: Additional costs:

If you are looking for special features that require additional paid Apps, there will be a fee. 

We are a very transparent company. 

You will receive a detailed bill. With every additional App, you will receive an email confirmation before we add this App.

It will depend on your business model. You have options:

OPTION A: Bag the order and call your customer to pick up from your store.

At this time, try your best to have less physical contact with your customer.

  • Customer calls you upon arrival at your parking lot
  •  The customer verifies his/her name, order #, and license plate.
  • You may deliver straight into the trunk of the vehicle.

OPTION B: Bag the order and coordinate with Lyft or Uber to deliver the order for a fee. The customer at the time of purchase can decide to Pick-Up or have it delivered to their door-step.

This is where it can get tricky. We suggest you hire someone or work with a company that can help you promote your online store across all platforms and digital media.

1. Organic traffic: Implement SEO (Search Engine Optimization) so that people searching for your products will find your eCommerce website. 

Implementing SEO is a tedious task, however, with the right method, you will see great results over time. If you found our website while searching for “How to take your Brick & Motar store online”, it is because of our strong SEO.

2. Online advertising: Digital Media advertising will help drive more traffic to your online store. When people search for your products, a small advertisement will be displayed on Google and or Facebook. These are paid advertisements. You can do it yourself or hire an expert.

3. Social Media: Having a strong Social Media presence is essential for an online store. 

4. Newsletter: Newsletters are essential when promoting your online store. You can send out weekly e-flyers to your customers, increasing your sales.

You will need an email marketing software. We recommend Mailchimp: starting at $9.99 per month.

With Mailchimp, you can promote your business across email, social, landing pages, shoppable landing pages, postcards, and more — all from a single platform.

  • Shopify Payments:  The funds will be transferred to your bank within 3 business days.

We can add several payment options for your customers:

PayPal: We need you to set up your own PayPal account to get paid.
 

How about Images and Photography for my online store?

Images:

Generic products: example, Nescafe coffee. We can use images available online. If images cannot be found online, we will have to photograph your generic products. You can supply your own images, or we can photograph.

Your own brand: You can supply your own images or we can photograph.

We can still help you if you do not have images of your non-generic products or products of your own brand. 

You can send us your products and we can photograph the products and edit the images for you. 

This process will take some time. 

For this service we will have to charge at least from CDN $5  to $50 per product, depending on your product.

Generally small non-reflective products are CDN $5 per image.

How can we register our website?

domain name is the address where Internet users can access your website.

Example: www.yourstorename.com or www.yourstorename.ca

We advice you to purchase both .com and .ca so that in the future no one else can purchase either and re-direct traffic to another site. 

This is important for branding. For extra CDN $15 per year, it is totally worth the price.

We prefer you to continue to own your domain. However, we will need access to your domain to manage and and transfer to Shopify and launch your online store, unless you can do this by  yourself.

We can help you with this process. It costs about $15 per year for a domain. We prefer that you own your own domain.

Shopify .COM domains USD $14 per year and .CA domains are USD $18 per year.

Hosting is included in Shopify plans.

Can you help us with increasing traffic to our online store?

We can help you implement several different methods to increase traffic to your online store and increase your sales.

1. Organic traffic: We will provide basic SEO (Search Engine Optimization) so that people searching for your products will find your eCommerce website.

2. Online advertising: Digital Media advertising will help drive more traffic to your online store. When people search for your products, a small advertisement will be displayed on Google and or Facebook. These are paid advertisements, and we can help you to set up with our trusted third-party partners.

Digital Media Advertising packages start at: CDN $1000 per month.

3. Social Media: Having a strong Social Media presence is essential for an online store. We can help you set up your Social Media accounts for a fee. OR, you might be able to navigate this yourself, and we will guide you. Let’s discuss your needs first.

4. Newsletter: We will set-up a newsletter programme for your online store. It will enable you to send out e-flyers to your customer base.

The set-up of Sign-up form on your online store is included in our starter package.

You will need an email marketing software. We recommend Mailchimp: starting at $9.99 per month.

With Mailchimp, you can promote your business across email, social, landing pages, shoppable landing pages, postcards, and more — all from a single platform.

You can manage your own newsletters, or we can help: $50 per Newsletter. We will design and create content.

What other eCommerce services do you provide?

Additional services at additional fees: 

  • Photography: from CDN $10 per product, depending on the product.
  • Digital advertising campaigns: from CDN $1,000 per month.
  • Social Media Management: from CDN $ 500 per month.
  • Any customization after launching: $100 per hour. Minimum 30-minute fee. We will quote you the time required before beginning your customization. We are very transparent and fair and we are not here to milk our clients.
  • Online Store Management: customized pricing based on your needs.

           – We can manage your online inventory, add or delete products. You need to inform us as soon as you sell out a products at your physical store.

  • Manage sales
  • Add up to 5 products per month. 
  • Newsletter creation: $50 per newsletter.

My own experience is when I started my Shopify store, about 6 years ago, (before that I was with another platform), it took me months just to launch a basic site. It took me years of practice, so many versions, editions, and I spent a lot of money. I had to hire many IT people to help me with IT because I had no clue what I was doing.
Hopefully, it may not take you that long to get it right. However, it can be a frustrating process, although Shopify is fantastic and most beginners can navigate the Shopify platform easily.
